About

ABOUT ME

Hey there! I'm Pranavi Donepudi...

From mastering complex Carnatic ragas for seven years to leading the baritone section in our state championship marching band, music has taught me that precision, patience, and practice are the keys to excellence. These same principles guide my passion for medicine, a path inspired by my grandfather who served his community as a dedicated physician. Just as every note in a musical piece must be perfectly placed to create harmony, I've applied this attention to detail while shadowing neurologists, pediatricians, and other specialists, and during my internship at Rutgers FCHS where I helped families develop healthier lifestyles. Each clinical experience has shown me that medicine, like music, requires both technical precision and a deep understanding of rhythm - the rhythm of patient care, healing, and compassion. Join me as we explore how the rhythms of music and medicine create a symphony of healing!

    • At ABK Neurology, I shadowed Dr. Jagga Alluri through comprehensive patient consultations and specialized neurological examinations. By observing diagnostic procedures and treatment plans for various brain and nervous system disorders, I gained valuable insights into clinical neurology and strengthened my understanding of patient care in a neurology setting.

    • At Family Dentistry on Park Ave, I observed advanced dental procedures including root canal treatments and the detailed process of creating custom mouthguards. Through witnessing the precision involved in endodontic procedures and the technical aspects of dental impressions using alginate powder and plaster casting, I gained valuable insight into specialized dental care techniques.

    • At JJ Hospitals, I observed Dr. Jayanthi Reddy perform complex laparoscopic procedures and C-section deliveries in the operating room. Through monitoring these surgeries, I learned the critical importance of sterile techniques, precise electrocautery use, infection prevention protocols, and vital sign monitoring during both pre-operative and intraoperative care.

    • At South Plainfield Pediatrics, I shadowed Dr. Subrahmanyam Ganti through comprehensive pediatric examinations, routine checkups, and vaccination procedures. Through observing patient interactions with children aged 0-18, I gained valuable insights into pediatric care, including techniques for managing young patients during examinations and the importance of building trust with both children and parents.

    • At JJ Hospitals, I shadowed Dr. Jayaram Reddy through specialized urological procedures, including cystoscopies and lithotripsies. By observing these procedures, I learned about endoscopic techniques for bladder examinations, kidney stone treatments, and the comprehensive care process from initial diagnosis through post-operative management of prostate issues and kidney stones.

    Carnatic Music

For seven years, I've immersed myself in the artistry of Carnatic music, performing at temple events and competitions while mastering traditional compositions and ragas. Through consistent practice and performances, I've discovered how music can both challenge us and bring communities together, making each note part of a larger cultural connection.

    02

    Manabadi

For five years at Manabadi Telugu School, I've grown from student to mentor, mastering the language while helping organize vibrant community events. Beyond learning to read, write, and speak Telugu fluently, I've discovered the joy of sharing our rich cultural traditions with the next generation of learners.
